Economic Development Authority
The Economic Development Authority is a multi-faceted community development agency for the City of East Grand Forks. The City has always been very active and involved with projects that assist business and industry which shapes our community. Under the leadership of the Economic Development Authority Board, the Mayor, and City Council, this office continues that mission.
Business Assistance Programs
East Grand Forks and the State of Minnesota provide several business assistance opportunities. The EDA administers revolving loan programs to provide additional capital. The EDA also manages the Border Cities tax credits, most commonly used to reduce property tax credits. The principal State of Minnesota programs include the Minnesota Investment Fund, the Minnesota Job Creation Fund, and the Greater Minnesota Business Development Infrastructure program. In addition, there are resources available for workforce training programs.
