The East Grand Forks Campbell Library invites the community to be a part of the library by volunteering. There are many opportunities to enhance your library services with your time and talents.
Helping the library with circulation tasks may include working at the front desk greeting patrons and helping them with check out, working with inventory or other book care tasks. Time frame: 2-3 hours, 2-4 times a month.
Friends of the Library
This could include working the Friends book sales the in the spring and fall and throughout the year at special events, helping out with the Friends Book Store, or the newsletter twice a year.
Serve on the Friends board, meeting once monthly.
Support the library's summer programs as a program aide, substitute or special guest. Judging the library's children and adult contests. Read for the library's
Dial-A-Story program ( stories online: 218-399-3435).
Homebound Delivery Service
Deliver books to homebound patrons. Timeframe: 1 hour, 1-4 times a month.
Hosting at events, mailings or planning and presenting programs.
Building & Grounds
Light custodial, holiday decorating, gardening May-September.
Tutoring at Campbell Library
Helping students review materials and do their homework. A background check is required so contact the library a week before you would like to begin. Tutoring is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30. Volunteers are welcome for any time frame.
How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.
